The grid patterned upper disc which is
concentric with the carrier plate keeps
the pipettes in vertical and correct
position.
The carrier plate consists of four
concentric troughs with tapered sides
and open bottoms which cradle the
pipette tips protectively.
Drained liquid is collected by a
stationary rack at the bottom part.
